Does it hurt when getting pierced?
Yes, a lot!!!! Run away ;) Seriously though, probably not as much as you think it will. Plus, you have the peace of mind that you will be pierced by one member of our small team of professional piercers with more than 17 years of experience.
How long does it take for my piercing to heal?
It depends on the area you are getting pierced. We will discuss the healing time of your specific piercing(s) at your appointment.
Do you use needles as opposed to piercing guns?
Why should I avoid getting pierced with an ear piercing gun?
Ear piercing guns are not a safe and sterile way to get pierced. These guns are not designed to be sterilized and can pierce the skin at a very high pressure, which can cause trauma to the skin and increase the risk of infection. At Onyx Body Piercing and Laser Tattoo Removal, we only use single-use, sterile piercing needles to ensure the safety and health of our customers.
Can I book a piercing on the same day?
Yes of course. If there is a free slot available simply visit our make a booking page, choose your piercing service, and you will be provided with our availability calendar. Unfortunately we cant always accommodate on the same day, so this is the very best way to find out our availability.
Do you stock additional jewellery to what is shown on the website?
Yes, we currently don’t have all of our available stock or brands online, so if there is anything else that you would like, please just get in touch either via our contact form or why not book a free jewellery consultation today!
What jewellery can I put in my _____ piercing?
At Onyx, we offer a wide range of high quality body jewellery for all of our piercing services. We stock a range of quality pieces from some of the best Fine Jewellery brands, such as NeoMetal, BVLA, Anatometal, Industrial Strength, Bodygems, Junipurr, and LeRoi. You wont be disappointed by our selection of quality Jewellery and rest assured we provide a professional service using Implant Grade Titanium, 14k and 18k Gold. Can I get pierced with previously worn jewellery, or jewellery I have brought from elsewhere?
Unfortunately not.
We do not allow customers to bring in previously worn jewellery or jewellery from elsewhere for the purposes of having them fitted in a fresh piercing. We pride ourselves on our high standards for cleanliness and sterile working and this includes knowing that our jewellery has only come from companies that sell implant grade, high quality jewellery.
How is my jewellery sterilised
At Onyx Body Piercing and Laser Tattoo Removal, we take jewellery sterilisation very seriously. All of our body jewellery is sterilised using a Statim autoclave, which is a device that uses pressurised steam to sterilise. This ensures that all of our body jewellery is safe and free from any bacteria or germs prior to going in to a fresh piercing.
Is the studio wheelchair accessible?
Yes! The majority of our studio at 11 Bridge Street, Walsall, England, WS1 1DP is wheelchair accessible. The studio has direct, step free access on to the street outside. Both our main reception area and the piercing room can be accessed by a wheelchair. Unfortunately our studio does not have accessible toilets due to the structure of the building, which we are unable to change.
